Innovation Festival 2024 - Let’s Be Having You!

It’s official. The dates are set. The theme is locked in. The festival wardrobes are being dusted off as we speak. Because we’re back baby! And raring to go!

Returning to the amazing Newcastle Racecourse, NWG’s Innovation Festival 2024 will see our incredible Innovation community come together again for the eighth year to do truly magnificent things for the North East and beyond. So buckle up. You’re in for a fun, fast-paced ride.

Make sure your systems are fuelled. Limber yourselves up. Get your mind and bodies ready and set for a festival like no other. This year it’s all about SPEED & SCALE.

Our festival citizens always produce the most incredible ideas year after year . . . so we thought we’d do things a little differently this time! We want to harness the same energy and can-do spirit our citizens bring and look at existing projects which could benefit from a little innovation magic. We want to ignite these projects so they can move at speed within our businesses. We’ll also focus on projects already in motion and see how we can scale them up so we can share our successes across a wider community.

Even the Sprint process itself will live life in the fast lane this year as we look to AI tools to speed up the design methodology.

Hold on tight. It’s going to be quite a week.

Launching on Monday afternoon with our great big festival hello and welcome on the main stage, we’re wasting no time here and jumping straight in. Speed is of the essence, so after the opening session, it’s off to the sprint tents to meet the team and get cracking.

Then we’ll have more of the same sprinting fun on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with networking opportunities each evening in the exhibition hall.

We’ve made sure we scaled up the fun stuff too (see what we did there!). The week will be packed with the usual festival favourites, celebrity guest speakers, live entertainment, music, games and even a sweet treat or two.

There will be opportunity for pit stops along the way for those in need of time out, space to breathe, a quiet place to sit and have a moment of calm before rejoining the festival fun.
