WHAT DOES A TYPICAL DAY AT THE FESTIVAL LOOK LIKE?

  • 08:30 am - We start the day with Health and Wellbeing Activities

    At this year’s festival we will be offering a range of exciting wellbeing fringe activities to help you achieve your 5 ways to wellbeing, and generate some innovative ideas to share in your own workplace. These vary by day, but include Yoga, Mindfulness, Pilates Book online at innovationfestival.org/booking.

  • 09:30 am Gather in main tent

    Festival attendees gather in the Funderdome to set up and start the day with entertainment, key note speakers, parish notices, briefings and the odd surprise guest.

  • 10:00 am Morning Sprint / Daily Dash / Hack Sessions

    We have 14 sprints running and a couple of data hacks.

    A chance to refresh meet our sponsors and see various talks and demos

How To Get There

BY ROAD From the A1, A19 and main approach roads to Newcastle follow the brown and white tourist board signs bearing a horse and rider for Newcastle Racecourse.

BY BUS Bus numbers 43 and 44 leave from Haymarket bus station in Newcastle City Centre every few minutes and arrive at a stop just outside Newcastle Racecourse road entrance.

BY RAIL Newcastle Central Station is 15 minutes away by taxi Regent Centre Metro Station is situated 2 miles from Newcastle Racecourse.

BY AIR Newcastle International Airport is six miles from Newcastle Racecourse site

Parking

There is free on-site parking. Please use the designated parking area when you arrive and enter our Festival Village by the main entrance.

Dress Code

The dress code for daytime and evening events is casual - channel your festival vibe in casual wear no suits or business wear. We have outdoor areas so we recommend you dress for the weather.

Accomodation

The Grand at Gosforth park and Travelodge Newcastle Gosforth are both within walking distance of the Innovation Festival and there are a number of other hotels available nearby.

Refreshments

Complimentary refreshments will be available on-site throughout the day and a buffet lunch will be served between12:30pm and 1:30pm each day. Specified dietary requirements will be catered for.

Free Wi-Fi will be available on site.
